ACRO Installs VPN to Increase Machine Efficiency ACRO Automation Systems has recently completed installation of a Virtual Private Network (VPN) at the Tenneco Litchfield facility. This VPN is a tool to create a secure connection between Tenneco’s plant and ACRO headquarters in Milwaukee. Once that connection is made our service personnel, using their PCs in Milwaukee, can sign on to the machine network in Litchfield just like they were sitting at the controls of the machine. This allows them to have instant and full access to the machine controls to determine the current status of the machines, diagnose problems and answer questions. This means that our service personnel will no longer have to phone someone in Litchfield and talk them through running the diagnostics. It will also decrease response time to questions and reduce travel time and expenses. |
